Connecting in a Virtual Classroom…..
Have you ever taken a class with a bunch of strangers? This past year I have had several virtual "classes" with a bunch of former strangers – now friends by attending a tele-class. I'd like to encourage you to try it!
The majority of the class attendees I had never met in person, but through Social Media, we have become good friends, all working towards something very special that will open up our hearts and minds to do what we have been gifted to do!
Have you ever felt such a connection?
Even though we're not in a traditional classroom, it feels as though our desks are side by side, sharing ideas and notes!
Being successful in doing something we are passionate about can help us reach out and make a difference in the world; we all have different passions. Being able to positively impact others is a feeling like none other! When we feel passionate about something that we're doing, it's NOT work!
Honestly, during class time, you could almost "hear" the fireworks going off when someone in the group would have an "ah ha" moment where something being taught just seemed to click. Have you ever felt that emotion? What's really neat is how it's just like a room full of cheerleaders; there's a whole lot of cheering going on when someone makes a big stride in learning something new that they can put into action!
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has. ~Margaret Meade
There really is a common thread tying everyone together. All of these new "friends" are working hard at making some big changes in their lives which will help them build successful businesses off and online. It's amazing how you can just feel the energy amongst the group, and what's even more amazing is the interaction that occurs.
There's this indescribable willingness to help each other. It's evident there are different strengths and skills within this group, and it's so much fun to experience the reaching out and serving others that is happening as we learn to "GROW OUR BUSINESS."
The bonus that comes along with this is learning that these talents and skills we have are valuable and marketable. YEAH, now that is good news!!
Learning something new can be challenging, but so much fun. I had no idea Social Media would be such an important part of helping me connect with such like-minded individuals who have become such good friends!
What's great is how we're being taught to put this knowledge into action so that we can be successful in the areas that we "shine" in, and then make a difference in the world! I've never had so much fun "LEARNING" before!!!
It's all about Relationships
Whether we're talking about connecting with our own family, or connecting with clients, one of the things that was stressed over and over is the importance of having a servant heart!
If we're more concerned about ourselves than we are our clients or, for that matter, anyone in our life who is important to us, it's going to come across that way and our relationship will be affected in a negative way. Putting others first is KEY! When you have the heart to serve others, your business will blossom, and so will all of your relationships!
Relationships really do matter…… Whether personally or in business, serving others will always be the right choice.
There was so much information to digest; Thankful for all that shorthand I learned years ago in high school in Mr. Fisher's class ! Learning never stops!
Have you ever attended a teleclass? What was the best thing about it? Would love to have your comments below or come on over to my FB wall and share !

Love your article, I am so blessed to be in this class with you and our fellow Gold students. I was blind sided by the friendship and relationships that has grown in just a few short months. You were able to put to words so eloquently what we are all noticing and feeling. Hugs. Your new friend, Elvie

Good to hear from you James. That auto responder class was EXCELLENT…. Sandi has a way of bringing to the table what we need to hear and helping us find our true passion! So glad to be on this journey with you.
We are here to serve and share our gifts. Serving others gives you inner peace!
Thanks for sharing Sue!
Thanks for the comment, Solvita! How true…we are here to SERVE AND SHARE….
I have to be honest – it wasn't so long ago that I thought everything about social media was pretty silly. But that was before I really understood it, and that understanding has been so transformative. I've 'met' so many people on Facebook, for example, who I would just love to hang out with… hoping one day that comes true!
Me, too, Victoria. There are so many people who share common values and the desire to help others. Will be great to meet face to face one day! I used to “think” the same way about Social Media, but now am happy to share with others just how great it really is!
